RandiAdult · Female · Bunny Rabbit (medium coat)Baton Rouge, LA · 9.6 miRandi & Neeley were found as strays in August 2026. Sadly Randi's friend was very sickly and crossed the rainbow bridge shortly after arriving, but Randi was much healthier and was treated for ear mites and fecal tested clear at the vet upon arrival. From Randi's foster parent: She is an explorer, mellow, curious, and bossy. I wouldn’t call her playful or particularly energetic though in the morning, she’s pretty energetic around feeding. She’s not afraid of people. She will willingly eat out of your hand and crawl over you if food is involved, but if there’s no food involved, she would prefer to keep her distance. However, she likes to lay under my desk and laid on my feet one day while I s…

Rizzo #2Adult · Female · Bunny Rabbit (short coat)Baton Rouge, LA · 9.6 miRizzo came to MHRR in Sept 2021 from Companion Animal Alliance. Rizzo is GREAT with the litter box. She can be fussy when in her space but is much nicer when she is out. She really likes head pets, but will box if you corner her. She will join you on the sofa for head pets and ear rubs that she loves, but cuddling is a big no otherwise. She has been around gentle dogs and does not run away but she isn't happy about them being close to her habitat (back to the territorial tendencies). She also thumps at outdoor cats that come to a window! Fireworks are no big deal though oddly. Rizzo is a smart & brave girl! She will jump out of a short playpen but taller ones are perfect. She LOVES to binky …

WigglytuffSenior · Male · Bunny Rabbit / Mixed (short coat)Baton Rouge, LA · 9.6 miWigglytuff (named because he arrived with mate & MHRR alumni Jigglypuff) came to MHRR in Nov 2023. He is white with black spots. Wigglytuff is guessed to be around 6 years old. He lost his mate Jigglypuff in March 2025 and is adjusting to being a single bun (and probably would like to have a friend again). He uses the litterbox very well. He has been around gentle dogs and do OK as long as they aren't too up close, and fine with nice bunny neighbors. Wigglytuff can be a little grunty when it comes to food time, but he doesn't lunge or make an attempt to bite. He is easily handled but of course prefers not to be picked up. From Wigglytuff's foster: Explorer, Climber, Affectionate, Mellow. Tol…

FloridaAdult · Male · Florida White (short coat)Baton Rouge, LA · 9.6 miFlorida was a stray bun turned in to Companion Animal Alliance (EBR shelter). He came to MHRR in April 2024. We believe he was born around Feb 2024 as he still had lots of baby fur at intake (baby photo below!). He uses the litter box well, and is VERY curious & bold! He goes right up to big dogs (through fences) when they walk by his playpen. He loves to get petted but can be iffy in his space sometimes. He is definitely not the type to sit around all day and be ignored - he wants to play and he wants to see what you're up to! Paquita was an owner surrender in August 2025. She had tons of bladder stones and her bladder had herniated through her abdominal wall! It was all surgically corrected and she has been doing great since. Paquita enjoys getting petted and has even been to a trunk-or-treat event. She has been around large dogs and done well. She is not great with the litterbox - she goes where she wants so a washable pee pad in her living space is an easy way to manage that. She just turned 6 years old.
